Candice Glover is making waves across Hollywood these days. Her beautiful voice can be heard on the Season 2 premiere of the hit TV series Underground.

Glover can also be seen working a field and singing spirituals as she portrayed an enslaved Gullah Geechee woman. It was great seeing a Gullah Geechee person represented on a groundbreaking show that has the attention of so many people. The history of Gullah Geechee people is a rich one that needs to be shared.

Glover is also making waves with her music career. According to an article published in the LA Times, after having "plenty of chips stacked against her ahead of the release of her debut," Candice Glover is back with a new R&B single called 'My Mistake'.

Beaufort's own American Idol has been a great supporter of many local organizations, including Beaufort Memorial's Keyserling Cancer Center, the Cancer Thrift Store of Beaufort, and even inspiring teen girls and boys at Whale Branch Early College.

We're excited to hear new music from Candice Glover and will continue to support and cheer for her on her musical journey.
